I. Introduction/Review on Third Molar Surgery

  • Anatomy, development, classifying impaction

  • Indications for removal

II. Preoperative Evaluation and Treatment Planning

  • Diagnostic imaging and interpretation

  • Consents

  • Use of PRF in 3rd molar cases

 III. Surgical Case Selection

  • Understanding how to classify difficulty of cases

  • When should we consider referring patient to a specialist?

  • Removing vs continued radiographic monitoring

 IV. Surgical Approaches/Technique

  • Local Anesthetic techniques

  • Surgical approach: soft tissue vs bone management

  • Bone removal and sectioning techniques and when to apply

  • Soft tissue management with closure

  • Use of PRF in surgical cases

V. Hands on models: Plastic Live animal Tissue Models

  • Applying surgical techniques to hands on models
